What is Ezra about?

Ezra opens with the decree of Cyrus and the return of the exiles, then follows the rebuilding of the temple through opposition and renewed support. After the temple is completed, Ezra arrives with more returnees and brings God's law to the community. The book ends with a painful call to deal honestly with unfaithfulness among the people.
