What is Leviticus about?

Leviticus is a book of worship and holiness. After the tabernacle is set in place, God gives Israel detailed instructions for offerings, priestly service, ritual purity, and right worship. The book shows that approach to God is serious, costly, and ordered, while also making room for forgiveness and cleansing. Alongside the ceremonial laws are strong moral commands, especially in the holiness code of chapters 19-20.
